D. Michael Noonan
Mike is one of the co-founders of Rinke Noonan, which opened its doors in 1967 in Sauk Rapids, MN. Mike practiced law in the same manner he conducts his life, by creating relationships with people. Some of the first relationships he created in the 1960’s were with farmers. The farmers learned quickly what a dedicated advocate they had in Mike. Throughout his 50+ years at Rinke Noonan, Mike instilled those values into our current staff and attorney base.
Now enjoying retirement with his wife, Judy, Mike still can be found around town listening to people and maintaining the relationships which are cornerstone to his being. Everyone in the office is delighted when Mike comes back to serve us on an “Of Counsel” basis.
A native of Waterloo, Iowa, Mike is an “Of Counsel” attorney in the firm. He concentrates his practice in:
- Corporate Governance
- Business, Corporations and Partnerships
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Commercial Transactions
- Commercial Real Estate Development
- Shopping Center Leasing
Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from the University of Minnesota. He co-founded Rinke Noonan in 1967.
Mike is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of St. Cloud Opportunities, Inc., a nonprofit development corporation. He also served on the national Board of Directors of Maryknoll Lay Missioners Association, and the U.S. Bank Advisory Board – Central Minnesota. Mike has been active in a number of community and charitable organizations, including the Sartell/Sauk Rapids Rotary Club, Catholic Charities, Cathedral High School Education Foundation, Downtown Development Corporation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.
