James L. Wiant
When Jim was a shareholder in the firm, he concentrated his practice in the areas of commercial transactions, lending and lien law.
Rinke Noonan is fortunate to still have Jim on board as a resource and “Of Counsel.”
When we are not utilizing his vast knowledge, Jim is enjoying retirement with his wife.
A Colorado native, Jim Wiant is an “Of Counsel” attorney in the firm. He concentrates his practice in:
- Commercial Transactions
- Lien Law
Jim received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He joined Rinke Noonan in 1979.

- U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
Jim is active on the boards of several community and charitable organizations and has served as an officer and/or director for the Downtown Council of St. Cloud, the Great River Rotary Club, the Rotary District 5950 Ambassadorial Scholarship committee, the Minnesota Center Chorale, the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Camphill Village Minnesota, and St. Cloud Area Legal Services. He has also participated in several service trips to Guatemala through Rotary in partnership with HELPS, International.
