Experienced Attorney – Real Estate, Land Use & Municipal Law Position Type: Highly flexible- Full-Time, Part-Time, or Contract We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Minnesota-based practice focused on real estate, land use, and municipal law. This position involves advising both private and public-sector clients on matters such as development approvals, zoning, permitting, and public governance, as well as real estate transactions. The practice predominately involves the representation of long-standing clients with deep relationships to the firm and a general counsel-type dynamic.This position offers a highly flexible work structure, including hybrid scheduling, part-time options, and contract-based arrangements. Practice Areas: Land Use and Zoning Municipal Law Real Estate Transactions and Development Key Details: Schedule: Flexible; open to part-time, alternate schedules, or contract roles Work Model: Hybrid (remote work with some in-person availability; full-time remote not available) Evening Meetings: Willingness to attend two evening meetings per month in the St. Cloud area is required Compensation: Salary: $100,000–$130,000 for full-time depending on qualifications, prorated for part-time, or Contract Attorney: Starting at $80/billable hour, or Opportunity for production-based compensation Benefits: This is a benefit eligible position depending on work arrangement and schedule Responsibilities: Provide legal counsel on land use, zoning, development approvals, and real estate transactions Represent municipalities and public entities in governance and regulatory matters Represent individuals and businesses in government permitting and real estate transactions Draft and negotiate legal documents including development agreements, ordinances, contracts, real estate documents Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, opinions, and meeting presentations Attend and present at public meetings, boards, and commissions as required Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Minnesota Minimum of 2 years’ experience (3+ preferred) in real estate, land use, or municipal law High-level legal writing and communication skills A growth mindset and willingness to embrace technology including AI Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a flexible work environment To Apply: Submit a cover letter, resume, and references to humanresources@rinkenoonan.com.
