Rinke Noonan’s Human Resources Generalist, Nikki Bukowski, started with our firm a couple of months ago in early May, 2022. As a new employee, employee advocate, and a culture-driving enthusiast, Nikki brings a fresh perspective to her role at Rinke Noonan. I took the opportunity to sit down with Nikki, to learn more about her and her position with Rinke Noonan.
Q: Nikki, tell me more about your role at Rinke Noonan and a little about your background.
My position at Rinke Noonan includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as recruiting, onboarding of new hires, benefits administration, personnel functions, compliance, culture-building, and much more. My past experience prior to joining the firm at Rinke Noonan includes prior HR-related roles in the beverage and construction industries.
Q: Tell me about your experience at Rinke Noonan so far.
From a personal and professional standpoint, I’ve loved every second of my job at Rinke Noonan, since starting with the firm. Everyone has been very welcoming and I can tell how much our leadership cares about our team. It’s all about teamwork here and I’m happy to be a part of a team that is dedicated to success.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your position?
I really enjoy the variety of each day. In my role, I have the opportunity to work with our attorneys, our legal staff, and our office administration staff. I’ve been enjoying the opportunity to learn the needs of each area within the firm and helping our employees grow within their careers.
Q: What do you enjoy most about Rinke Noonan?
I appreciate the fact that culture is a high priority here and there is a focus on culture-building initiatives.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you? Or is there a typical day?
There is no typical day in my role. Each day is different, which is something I enjoy. My days are prioritized based on putting our employees’ needs first, to ensure their needs are met.
Q: In your role, you have a chance to be on a number of committees. Tell me more.
Yes, I have the opportunity to be on the social committee, personnel committee, and wellness committee. I enjoy being a part of committees and initiatives that are focused on our employees. From employee appreciation activities to creating standards of excellence, I enjoy coming up with ideas and implementing them.
Q: Anything you are looking forward to coming up?
I am looking forward to our employee summer picnic that our social committee is planning, which is coming up in August. I am also looking forward to continuing to grow into my role and learn how I can continue to make an impact at Rinke Noonan.
Q: Any fun facts about yourself that you’d like to share?
I really enjoy volunteering in our community. I am involved with St. Cloud Rotaract, Central MN SHRM, St. Ben’s Mentor program, and the St. Cloud Catholic Diocese.
