I was raised on a farm and ranch in Dewey County, South Dakota (that’s West River for those who are in the know). The ranch, and my family, drilled into me that you don’t do a job half-way. It was there that I developed a passion for agriculture and learned the value of hard work. I bring that work ethic to everything I do, including advocating for farmers and ranchers.

When I do take a break, I spend my time with my wife, Mara, traveling back to the home place in South Dakota, or standing in front of my smoker (I’m still trying to perfect my brisket).

Sean obtained his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law. While in law school, Sean was involved in several organizations, including:

President of the Criminal Law Association
Negotiations Team Member. The team made nationals in 2023 and were in the top 8 negotiations teams in the nation.

During law school, Sean worked as a Summer Associate at Rinke Noonan. Prior to law school, Sean attended North Dakota State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications.
